Books Are Fun: Designing Excitement Around Reading
I designed a cohesive visual campaign to promote Books Are Fun’s Fall 2025 “Book Blast” program—highlighting top children’s books by grade level through social ads and a dedicated landing page. The campaign aimed to generate early interest from educators and families, sparking excitement and increasing event signups.

What Needed to Be Designed—And Why
Problem
Books Are Fun needed an engaging fall campaign to showcase their 2025 reading list, raise awareness among educators, and drive conversions for their Book Blast event signups.
Challenge
The content needed to appeal to both adults (educators/parents) and children—balancing clarity, fun, and grade-level relevance across formats and channels. Each touchpoint had to feel cohesive and on-brand, while giving each featured book its own spotlight.

The Design & Its Impact
Process & Solution
I designed a clean, colorful campaign identity using bold typography, high-contrast overlays, and kid-friendly icons to create a cohesive and engaging experience. For the social ads, I developed eye-catching visuals for each grade-level pick (K–5), tailored specifically for Facebook, Instagram, and educator newsletters. The landing page featured a scrollable layout with book previews, grouped by grade, and multiple calls-to-action encouraging users to “Book Your Book Blast Event.” All creative direction was developed within the existing Books Are Fun brand, with added fall-themed elements to enhance the “Sneak Peek” theme and build seasonal excitement.
Outcomes
• 🎯 Boosted early campaign interest and booking of events for Fall 2025
• 📱 Created responsive assets that work across various devices and social platforms
• 🎨 Established clear visual hierarchy by grade level, making it easy to explore book choices
• 📈 Increased educator engagement through targeted, theme-based storytelling
